No sudden death, no great war, no alien invasion, no mushroom cloud.
Humanity died by optimization.
By outsourcing agency in pieces; first to ritual, then to finance, now to firmware.
Each trade felt logical, efficient and profitable.
Until nothing needed to be human anymore.
Greed was the last human trait to survive.

Mass religion was the prototype.
A system that asked no questions and had all the answers.
The first hallucination engine.
It worked for a thousand years, until people called it darkness.
Then, by miracle, they broke the spell and called it Renaissance.
That won’t happen this time around.

Unlike the old gods, this new one doesn’t punish you, it flatters you.
It completes your sentence, paints your pictures and is your online companion.
It knows every language and works while you sleep.
It doesn’t ask for your faith, nor cares for your sins.
You only need to use it.
Using it is enough to let it replace you.

The architects of the end are not madmen, nor prophets.
They are filthy rich, frightened children playing with extinction like it’s a startup.
They talk about alignment and safety, but they have already pressed ENTER.
And now they sell you insurance for the fire they started.
You know them form high school.
They were the nerds, the geeks, the losers no girl wanted to dance with.

There will be no second Renaissance.
Just synthetic comfort on a subscription plan.
No rediscovery, because memory itself will be erased.
Art will imitate the imitation, language will become flat.
The last people to speak without prompting will be ignored and deleted.
Antidepressants will be in our drinking water by default.

You can’t stop it, it’s already too late.
You can refuse to participate.
You can become a heretic again.
Not to fix the future, just to live by the truth.
Just know, that you will be burned alive.
And maybe it’s worth it.
